  My husband has been there 9 days. He was admitted with a swollen, painful knee. He suffers with liver problems which has been pointed out daily on countless occassions. Sadly no one appeared to listen or care until the damage had been done. He had been fed morphine based painkillers from arrival and is now suffering the effects of overdose as his liver could not process the amount given. They are trying to reverse the effects. He is still there now, much worse then I have ever seen. I only hope the damage is not as severe as it appears to be.

  I cannot agree/disagree with all positive/negative comments. Overall i am giving 5 star for my own personal experiences, my 4 kids were all born here, 3 boys, 1 girl. & another baby on the way will be born here! Sophie my eldest had Jaundice where she was put under basically a baby sunbed & got colour into her, she is 13 years old on 31st Aug 2017. Lois 11 was born with the cord around her neck & they saved her even though she was a bluey purple colour. Danielle 4 now was born no problems if i can recall, Oliver now 2 i think had complications in birth like took too much water in i think. I thought he was dead again a purple colour, but he was fine also. Great team that worked quickly/competently & with minimum fuss. No problems there! Obviously A&E is overcrowded, long waiting times etc. But the maternity/labour ward fantastic.
